Sister of Charity of Seton Hill inducted into Salpointe Catholic Hall of Fame
Sister Jeanne Bartholomeaux was inducted into the Salpointe Catholic High School Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame on September 21, 2018. The induction ceremony was held during halftime of the school’s football game vs. Tucson High. The Hall of Fame honors in perpetuity outstanding alumni, faculty and support staff who through their contributions to the arts, business, education, government, humanities, science, and philanthropy have brought honor to themselves, Salpointe Catholic High School, and the community. Sister Jeanne was a 1964 graduate of Salpointe. She served on the faculty from 1970-1982 and 2007-2015.
Currently the Vicar of Vowed Religious for the Diocese of Tucson, a position she has held for several years, Sister Jeanne was part of the originating team of five teachers who launched the Salpointe Humanities Program. She also taught in the dioceses of Phoenix and Pittsburgh and served as a religious education coordinator for bilingual parishes in Arizona and Illinois. She was a member of the Sisters of Charity General Council for six years and participated with sisters from the United States and Korean Provinces in the Interprovincial Experience of Charism and Mission in Chicago and Ecuador.
