The Elizabeth Seton Memory Care Center houses a spacious living area and 12 private, cheerfully decorated bedrooms designed to serve the special needs of women with memory loss. Each room has a half-bath with easy access to showers and a whirlpool tub located within the Center.
Each private room is home. In addition to a comfortable bed, and a reclining lift chair, each resident has a flat-screen television in her room and space for private visits with her friends and family members.
Licensed nurses provide round-the-clock supervision and administer medications as needed. Specially trained direct care staff are present to assist residents with personal care, meals, and other activities. A single fee covers all support and nursing services and laundry.
Elizabeth Seton Memory Care provides music, art, and other daily activities, pet therapy and exercise programs designed to maintain or restore balance and muscle strength. There is an enclosed outdoor garden and patio allowing residents to enjoy the beauty and freshness of the outdoors.
Each resident is given supervised access to the library and opportunities to attend worship services in the Chapel of the Assumption and other activities in the Sisters of Charity motherhouse. There is also a small chapel in the Center for private reflection and personal prayer.
Residents feel at home in their private rooms with the freedom to have personal furnishings, wall hangings, and familiar pictures. A spacious, well-lit common area within the Center accommodates dining, recreation, family visits, and other activities. Beauty salon services are available at a moderate cost.
Hospice care services on site as needed.
Continuing the mission of the Sisters of Charity to provide compassionate care to all whom they serve, the staff of the Elizabeth Seton Care Center offers a beautiful and protective environment for its residents. They live in close proximity to the sisters residing at Caritas Christi Motherhouse, and have access to the spacious grounds, the chapel, and the companionship of the sisters.
The staff receives special training in living out the founding spirit of the Sisters of Charity as modeled by Saints Vincent de Paul, Louise de Marillac and Elizabeth Seton, in the Gospel-based tradition of the Roman Catholic Church.
